Myth of Everything

A poem about the creation of the universe.

Myth of Everything

Hush.

Quiet Still.

A groan

A murmur

Expansion!

Swirling in darkness

Butterfly wings grow

Cosmic majesty blossoms

Life unfolds, expands!

Belly swells, a groan

Dreaming of a world

Dreaming of a life

Life becoming real, rising!

Belly bursts forth, a bang

Heard across the quiet- shattered

Stars, dust, plants burst fourth

Dust swirls, a spiral made

Star collapses, a maw made

Stars merge, infinite pattern made

The butterfly stretches, closes and expands

Dreaming of life, its breaths deities

Gods of every sex life handed

A universe once silent now alive

Life in all its colours, sighs

And struggles and rises and dies

Mortals suffering, death and lies

The butterfly sighs

Amused by cries

And lives

Thrives!
